The 23rd Annual Thyroid Surgical Workshop Chikhaldara was successfully conducted on 5,6,7 February 2026.

The conference began with a cadaver dissection course and a hands-on ultrasound and cytopathology instructional course at Shalinitai Meghe Medical Research Institute, Nagpur with than 50 delegates from all corners of the country participating. The next 2 days included live surgical demonstrations from district hospital Chikhaldara. The sessions also comprised of lectures on key aspects of thyroid management including surgical adjuncts (with hands on courses for intra-operative nerve monitoring and parathyroid auto fluorescence techniques), new ablative therapy options and overview of the ATA 2025 and Indian Thyroid Cancer Guidelines. Professor Neil Tolley from Imperial college London was the international faculty and national faculty like Dr Madan Kapre, Dr Abhishek Vaidya, Dr Neeti Gupta, Dr Rajendra Deshmukh added their wisdom and experience to the training sessions in the workshop with one to one mentoring.
