The Annual Congress of the Asia Pacific Thyroid Society

The annual congress of the Asia Pacific Thyroid Society was recently conducted at Singapore on 9-11 April 2026. The meeting focused on exchange of knowledge and philosophy of thyroid disorders management across the globe. The .n contingent led by President Dr Kaustubh Patel and Secretary Dr Abhishek Vaidya comprised of more than 40 faculty and delegates, . being second largest delegation in the meeting. .n faculty members participated in key prestigious positions in the main programme including invited talks, panel and symposium participations. Senior members such as Patron Dr Madan Kapre, Immediate Past President Dr Jyoti Dabholkar,Β Immediate past secretary Dr KK Thankappan, Governing council members Dr Subramaniam Iyer were invited faculty. .n delegates also participated actively in the award paper and poster presentations and Dr Rupjyoti Das from B Baruah Cancer Institute won the second prize in poster award for predictors of central compartment nodal metastases in differentiated thyroid cancers.
The .n Society of Thyroid Surgeons symposium was a 2 hour special session in the congress. The academic content, variety of niche areas in thyroid care covered, were widely appreciated by all attendees. The significant progress made by .n doctors in the field of remote access surgery, surgical adjuncts, thyroid cancer genetics and our recently published .n Thyroid Cancer guidelines were prominently recognized.
